Villa Helios is a new luxury villa in a resort community Almyrida, on the west coast of the island of Crete. The villa is set among olive groves and its windows overlook a stunning bay, on one side, and the White Mountains (mountain range Lefka Ori), on the other side.

Helios is a spacious three storey villa that can host 8 to 10 guests. There are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a spacious living room and a kitchen with a beautiful dining room; in the basement, you will find a gym and there is a parking lot for 2 cars. Thanks to right location of the building and big French windows, the villa is provided with a lot of lights and a fascinating landscape can be enjoyed from each room. Each room also has direct access to the terrace or balcony where the guests are welcome to make themselves comfortable on cosy armchairs and sofas to enjoy a cup of rich coffee or read a favourite book. When outfitting the villa, designers used soft pastel colours and attractive and pleasant decoration elements.

In the area surrounding the villa, there is a pool overlooking the bay, fruit orchard and green lawns with flower beds set in accordance with the landscape design principles.  At the pool you can find not only sun beds and sunshades, but also a large and comfortable garden lounge suite. A barbeque area with awning, oven, and sink, connected to water supply, a large dining room table and soft armchairs is a perfect choice for spending hours with a family and friends. A high stone wall around the whole land plot, surrounding the villa, and absence of any neighbours ensure full privacy to its guests.

At villa Helios, the guests are provided with the state of the art equipment and household appliances that guarantee both a comfortable rest and a healthy lifestyle, such as air conditioning equipment, TV (satellite TV), solar panel system and electric water heating, washer, dishwasher, cooktop, exhaust hood, oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave oven, toaster, blender, juicer, bathroom scales and a safe in each room, alarm system, exterior security cameras, and autonomous diesel heating. Only materials and equipment made in Europe were used for villa outfitting. The floor is covered with nonslip tiles. Aluminium (double-glazed) windows ensure perfect soundproofing and are equipped with insect screens and electric shutters.

area description

Almyrida is situated in the Apokoronas district to the east of Chania. Apokoronas is a region which extends to the northeastern part of the prefecture of Chania, by the foothills of the White Mountains to the north coast of Crete. It is characterized by the green hills and the fertile tracts of land, due to the abundance of water coming from the mountains, creating the only natural lake of Crete, as well as rivers which run through the region, before finding their way out to the sea. The large, gently shelving, sandy bay that makes up the seaside resort of Almyrida was once a fishing village but is now a thriving seaside resort with a “blue flag” beach. Tavernas and bars line the sea front. There are a couple of mini-markets, a bakery, patisserie, a wine shop and newsagents. There is a windsurfing school, a scuba diving center and boat trips are available as well. It is the perfect place to combine a beach holiday and to explore the countryside behind the village on foot. The lovely sandy beach with the trees along it, and the picturesque small harbour with the fishing boats and the other marine vessels, compose the landscape. Opposite the beach is the Karga island and beyond, looking towards the north, can be seen the coasts and the hills of Akrotiri peninsula, and to the south, stands the bulk of the mountains of western Crete, the White Mountains.
