A basic condition for the longevity of a timber house is the construction of a roof where air can circulate. This allows any vapours created in the interior to escape.
The construction of a roof includes :
- A timber frame
- Internal planking,
- Adequate drainage,
- Heat isolation
- A covering with asphalt tiles of the highest quality.
Alternatively the roof can be made using tiber beams for asthetic effect. The roof covering can be asphalt tiles, ceramic tyles or any other suitable material
